Many Workers will have to short rest periods

At least eleven hours of rest time are to be according to the law on working hours between two working days. Employees are not able to comply with these pauses, they suffer more frequent health complaints. This was the result of a study by the Federal Institute for occupational safety and health (BAuA). Especially persons working in health care are affected.

In the current BAuA-survey showed that 20 percent of over 6,700 respondents in full-time employees at least once in a month are affected by shorter rest periods. The highest proportion in the health sector: here, 39 per cent of employees report that they are not able to at least meet once in a month, the statutory rest periods.
