The 45-year-old, who shot to fame in 1999’s Thai prison drama Brokedown Palace opposite Claire Danes, describes her six-day-a-week gym regime as ‘punishing’. 

‘I do circuits interspersed with brutal cardio,’ she has said. ‘That part is torture. But the thing I like about circuit training is that you’re never doing one thing for long.’

WHAT TO TRY: The Dead Bug with toe taps. Lie on your back with arms in the air, legs bent at 90 degrees, feet up. Make sure your knees are over your hips and point your toes up.

Lower your left foot to the floor, tapping the ground. Return to start position and repeat with the right foot. Repeat for 45-60 seconds.
