The drugstore chain dm has started a recall for various baby food products. According to the company, in the product concerned increased Aflatoxin can not be excluded-levels. These fungal toxins can affect health.
Recall due to mold-formed toxins
The drugstore chain dm calls back different items of the dm brand “babylove”. As the company explained in a information to consumers, it was found through self-checks, that each of the products increased Aflatoxin levels can not be excluded. Aflatoxins are formed by moulds poisons, which can impair the health.
Affected products not to consume
Of the recall, the following products are affected:
- “baby love pomegranate Mango in the Apple, 190 g, after the 4. The month of“ date of minimum durability 15.10.2020
- “baby love peach-passion fruit in Apple, 190 g, after the 4. The month of“ date of minimum durability 16.10.2020
- “baby love strawberry & Raspberry in cider, 190 g, after the 4. The month of“ date of minimum durability 16.10.2020
- “baby love strawberry-banana in Apple, with cereals, 90 g, from 1 year (squeezing the bag)” with the minimum shelf-life data, 16.10.2020 and 17.10.2020
The date of minimum durability (best before date) is easy to spot on the lid edge, respectively, on the back of the product.
