Chrissy Teigen Claps Back Against Troll After Painting Daughter's Nails
LOL! Chrissy Teigen had the perfect response after she was criticized for painting her 3-year-old daughter’s nails.
“Doing her nails is my knitting,” the Lip Sync Battle cohost, 33, captioned a Friday, June 21, video of Luna watching Sesame Street with a pink mani/pedi. “Kid toes kill me.”
The following day, a Twitter user wrote, “Applying poisonous chemicals directly onto a child’s body can not be good . Whatever poisons are in polish are absorbed through the nail and directly into their body.”
The model’s response? “Well I actually had her drink it so joke’s on you.”
Teigen has showed off her little one’s love for nail polish in the past. In April, the Cravings author shared an Instagram video of Luna carefully “painting mommy’s nails” blue.
“It’s beautiful,” the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model told her daughter. “I love it.”
The Utah native and her husband, John Legend, tied the knot in 2013 and welcomed their daughter three years later. In May 2018, Luna became a big sister when her baby brother, Miles, arrived.
The EGOT winner, 40, told Us Weekly exclusively earlier this month that he wishes he was parent-shamed along with his wife for parenting decisions that they make together, from dentist visits to unbrushed hair.
“On our first date after Luna was born, everyone critiqued [Teigen],” the “All of Me” singer told Us at the time. “‘Why are you going out two weeks after your baby was born?’ But they didn’t critique me. I spoke out about it then. She spoke about it. I think hopefully people are learning that Chrissy and I are a partnership and if you’re going to parent shame us, do it to us as a partnership.”
