‘Empire’ Star Kaitlin Doubleday Gives Birth to First Child

And baby makes three! Kaitlin Doubleday and her husband, Devin Lucien, welcomed their first child together, according to the Empire star’s older sister.

“BABY FRANKLIN HAS ARRIVED!!!” Portia Doubleday captioned a Tuesday, February 20, Instagram pic of the sleeping newborn. “That’s my nephew! Congrats.”

Kaitlin, 34, announced that she and the DJ were expecting with an October 2018 Instagram post. In the sweet reveal Opens a New Window. , she and her husband smiled at each other in a garden, while the actress cradled her baby bump in a hot pink dress.

“I’ve been wearing pretty tents, not partying at weddings, eating everything in sight, dreaming about [sushi, wine] and ADVIL, cleaning out my garage, laying around thinking about how much I love Kathleen Zellner all day, and just thanking the pregnancy Gods that I’m finally not nauseas anymore beeeeccccaaaaauuuuussseeee…I’m growing a f–king human inside my belly!” the Los Angeles native captioned the shot. “(Although now he really feels more like an incredibly strong fish…maybe even a baby dolphin) and he’ll be here around Valentines Day 2019!”

She added: “Wow, it feels pretty official now that it’s on social media. I can’t believe I’m gonna be someone’s mom. Pray for us!”

The Nashville alum and Lucien got engaged in Paris in 2015, and tied the knot one year later in Big Sur with more than 100 loved ones. Doubleday wore a custom Mark Zunino Atelier dress on the big day.

“I trust [Lucien] more than I’ve ever trusted anyone,” she revealed to Us Weekly the year of her wedding. “Which I think is how you’re supposed to feel. It was easy. It was exciting and easy from the beginning. I just trusted that we were going to be OK.”
