Prince Harry, Duchess Meghan 'Still Thinking About Names' for Royal Baby
The clock is ticking! Duchess Meghan gave birth to her first child with Prince Harry, but the new parents have yet to choose a name for the royal baby.
“Still thinking about names, but yeah, the baby is a little overdue, so we’ve had a little bit of time to think about it,” the Duke of Sussex, 34, told press after his newborn arrived on Monday, May 6. “But that’s the next bit.”
He added: “We’ll be able to see you in two days’ time as planned and be able to share it with you as a family … and so everyone can see the baby.”
The new dad went on to gush about his wife, 37, and son. “I haven’t been in many births,” Harry said. “This is definitely my first birth. It was amazing, absolutely incredible. As I said, I am so incredibly proud of my wife and as every father and parent would ever say, your baby is absolutely amazing, but this little thing is absolutely to die for, so I’m just over the moon.”
Five months after the prince and the Suits alum tied the knot in May 2018, the couple confirmed that they were expecting.
When it comes to raising their little one, a source told Us Weekly exclusively in October 2018 that they want a new normal. “Harry grew up with the entire world watching his every move, which has made him very private,” the insider told Us. “He does not want that for his own children.”
A second source told Us in April that they won’t be giving their child an official royal title. In fact, they “are very keen to live their lives quietly.”
While Harry and Meghan still don’t know what they’re naming the little one, who is seventh in line to the throne, many are betting on Philip, Alexander, James or Albert.
