Megan Thee Stallion Returns to Instagram With Her Longest Natural Curls Ever

Megan Thee Stallion hasn't been very active on social media over the last month or so — she announced a hiatus that included the occasional post from her management team — but it seems her hair has definitely been putting in the work during that time. The award-winning rapper returned to Instagram on Monday, June 8, to show off what appears to be major progress in her natural-hair journey.

Megan's been letting fans following her efforts to nurture and grow her natural curls for nearly two years, giving us a look at the occasional salon-sink shot of how much length and lusciousness she's achieved, not to mention scoring a campaign with hair-care brand Mielle. And on Monday, we got several new views at just how far she's come.

In a carousel of four photos, Meg is wearing a royal blue bikini and little — if any — makeup. But as gorgeous as she looks in her swimsuit and glowing skin, the star of the shots is her hair. The newly layered style is gorgeously voluminous, and the longest layer of tight curls drifts well past her shoulders. Two close-up shots show just how shiny it looks in the sun.

Normally, Megan mentions her natural-hair journey in the caption when she's showing off her progress, but she didn't this time, just writing, "While I was away ?." Perhaps it's because she didn't directly address her hair that some fans suspect that what we're looking at may be a wig. Debate ensued in the comments, with one fan writing, "You can literally look at her page and see this wig and her real hair," while others suggested she might have added extensions or simply used a diffuser on her natural hair to help get this new look. 

We think there's a really good chance Meg is showing off her natural hair, however, because her stylist, Kellon Deryck, posted the same photos to his grid alongside the caption, "It’s all in the hands ? @theestallion #nurtureyourcurls."

Regardless, one thing is clear: Megan Thee Stallion is back, and she — and her hair — look absolutely stunning.
