Zendaya's Jumbo Box Braids Go All the Way Past Her Butt

Zendaya was just named the Council of Fashion Designers of America's (CFDA) Fashion Icon at its 2021 awards on November 10, but her jumbo box braids for the night were equally as iconic as her newly named fashion icon status. 

The actor's ombré protective style fell slightly past her butt, which means these braids were long. From the back of her head, you can see pretty much every braid, proving that many hours of styling were involved in creating this look ahead of the awards ceremony. 

To congratulate his girlfriend, English actor Tom Holland posted a photo of the actor at the awards. His post's caption reads, "Naaa stop it. An incredible achievement for the most incredible person. Congrats @zendaya and @luxurylaw you guys deserve every bit of this." From Holland's photo, you can see that Zendaya's ombré braids and bright red crop top and skirt were complimented by a makeup beat consisting of warm neutrals and a nude lip color. 

Sadly, Zendaya did not give us the whole rundown on her hairstyle for the night, so we don't know who was exactly responsible for these extra-long ombré box braids that were almost ready to hit the floor. We're so excited to see that all of Zendaya's and her stylist Law Roach's hard work has culminated in receiving this award.

It's fair to say that Zendaya's jumbo box braids should put the actor on track to win a hair icon award, too, but we'll have to wait and see what the future brings.
