Watch Dr. Pimple Popper Pop This Deceptively Huge Cyst That's Filled With Globs Of Dead Skin Cells

  • In her latest Instagram video, Dr. Pimple Popper squeezes a “deceiving” epidermoid cyst.
  • Deceptively small-looking, this cyst is actually filled with tons of off-white and gray gunk that the dermatologist squeezes out with her hands.
  • An epidermoid cyst is essentially a closed sac under the skin filled with dead skin cells.

Before you ask your coworker if she wants to go for a midday coffee run, consider this instead: an equally energizing jolt that doesn’t cost a cent. Umm, how? Dr. Pimple Popper’s latest video of a surprisingly juicy epidermoid cyst that’s sure to rev you up more than that iced cold brew.

In her recent masterpiece—which you know will be pure gold given its “sensitive content” status—dermatologist Sandra Lee, MD, wastes no time before putting her gloved fingers to work squeezing out a whole lot of gunk. Sounds like an average pop, yes, but once you press play, you quickly realize this exciting extraction is so much more.

The video begins with Dr. Pimple Popper mumbling to herself about how she’s going to remove the epidermoid cyst, which is a cyst found under the skin filled with keratin (the same stuff that makes up skin and hair). She quickly tugs on whatever gray-ish substance lies beneath the surface with a tweezer and then quietly says to herself, “No, okay, I’m going to squeeze it.”

Returning to the bump sans tools, Dr. Pimple Popper starts to push on either side of the incision so that just a little bit of yuck starts to peek out.

“I think it’s a little bit deceiving. It’s actually a lit bit bigger than it looks on the surface here,” Dr. Pimple Popper says, as she pumps more and more of the off-white substance out from under the patient’s skin.

“Oh shhhhhhh—” a voice in the background exclaims.

“Did she just curse on camera?” Dr. Pimple Popper jokingly responds.

Apparently no. The onlooker insists she said, “oh shoot.” Suuuuure.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the screen, I’m over here swearing up a storm because man, that’s a lot of chunky gunk! It’s like the skin’s been storing up for winter and now that spring’s sprung, it’s ready to let Dr. Pimple Popper “deflate it” by extracting everything including the sac of this epidermoid cyst, which, btw, is what kept all those dead skin cells (read: gunk) together under the skin.

Invigorating? Yes. But the question remains: Are you still craving that coffee? (*Shakes head no*)
